The ISG Human-Centered Design Community of Practice (HCD CoP) exists so that practitioners and those passionate about design can learn, share, and apply HCD knowledge

These monthly information sessions involve participation by UX designers and researchers, engineers, product managers, and anyone passionate about human-centered design. During these online sessions speakers share their experiences and insights with the community to support continued learning around important HCD topics. Recent programs have included: Brainstorm Better: Improving a Critical SkillUncover Problems and Discover Opportunities with Usability TestingLean UX Approaches for Agile Environments, and Improve Customer Experience with Content Strategy.

Our guiding principles for the community are to:

-        Elevate HCD literacy and understanding

-        Bring a human focus to problem solving

-        Talk about challenges and unsolved problems

-        Make collaboration easy

-        Listen to customers

-        Work in the open

We encourage everyone to participate in the community so that we can continue to grow the application of HCD across ISG. Please register below for an upcoming session.

If you’re interested in sharing your work and insights at an CoP event, please send an email to: hcd@hcqis.org

CCSQ World Usability Day

CCSQ strives to design, build, and continuously improve human-centered and innovative IT solutions to advance quality initiatives. This work is managed in the center's Information Systems Group (ISG). In keeping with this mission, CCSQ will celebrate its 2nd Annual World Usability Day on November 12, 2020.

This year's theme is Human-Centered Artificial Intelligence (AI). AI is not a futuristic concept. AI systems surround us today, impacting parts of our lives that we may not even realize. During World Usability Day, we will explore the unique design challenges of AI.

The CCSQ event will feature an open-house format on Zoom so you can join the sessions that align with your interests and schedule. Check out the speakers and schedule today.
