- Optimizing Usability with Site Analytics Training for CCSQ

Human-centered design (HCD) practices should be applied iteratively throughout a product’s development and delivery lifecycle, even after functionality has been released. When working towards continuous improvement, site analytics tools can help you gather both qualitative and quantitative usability data and make informed iterative improvements.

During this online, two-hour training, attendees will learn how site analytics can help teams improve the design and functionality of product solutions. They will finish the course with the skills to use common site analytics tools to improve customer satisfaction.

  • Duration: 3 hours
  • Level: Beginner
  • Prerequisites: Recommend completion of Foundational Learning Path (FLP) courses HCD 101 Introduction to HCD and LACE Agility Foundations.
  • Companion Courses: Consider HCD 105 Survey Design Best Practices
  • Attendee types: All CMS development teams, leaders, SMEs, policy staff, management supporting CMS policy, business, products and services.
  • Class type: Remote w/ interactive and collaborative exercises.
  • Objective: After attending the remote training, attendees will understand how analytics complement human-centered design for research planning, be able to identify competitive analytical tools for usability insights and five usability indicators available in Google Analytics, and be able to utilize a framework to remediate usability, while supporting effective decision-making through the lens of customer data.
