World Usability Day – Designing for the Future We Want

Design has a huge influence on people’s lives. What we design today can have a lasting impact on the world. Let’s use this year’s theme, “Design for the Future We Want,” to focus our work to improve the world through better experiences and create a better future together.

This year’s theme was inspired by the Sustainable Development Goals, set by the United Nations (UN). The goals on the 2030 agenda provide a road map to a more peaceful and prosperous future for all. Goal 3: Ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all at all ages.

Why is ISG hosting a World Usability Day?

As usability professionals, our work is moving us closer to a certain future. Whether the progress towards it is intentionally or unintentionally created, or whether that future is tomorrow, next month, or several years down the line – we are all heading towards endpoints of our own creation. This begs the question – What kind of future are we designing for? Our event will be an opportunity:

  • For the Human-Centered Design Community of Practice to come together and share knowledge,
  • To showcase some of the work and learning across the lines of business,
  • And to highlight some of the human-centered design work that takes place throughout the agency.
