Design has a huge influence on people’s lives. What we design today can have a lasting impact on the world. Let’s use this year’s theme, “Design for the Future We Want,” to focus our work to improve the world through better experiences and create a better future together.
This year’s theme was inspired by the Sustainable Development Goals, set by the United Nations (UN). The goals on the 2030 agenda provide a road map to a more peaceful and prosperous future for all. Goal 3: Ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all at all ages.
Why is ISG hosting a World Usability Day?
As usability professionals, our work is moving us closer to a certain future. Whether the progress towards it is intentionally or unintentionally created, or whether that future is tomorrow, next month, or several years down the line – we are all heading towards endpoints of our own creation. This begs the question – What kind of future are we designing for? Our event will be an opportunity:
For the Human-Centered Design Community of Practice to come together and share knowledge,
To showcase some of the work and learning across the lines of business,
And to highlight some of the human-centered design work that takes place throughout the agency.
