The QualityNet Portal (QNP 2.0) was released into production on September 25, 2019. The redesign of QualityNet is the first major update to the website in over 10 years with the goal of a new Human Centered Design (HCD) to provide an enhanced user experience. The replacement of QNP 1.0 (which used Oracle Fatwire) now uses a headless content management system (H-CMS) in a addition to the new public interface.  QNP 2.0 consolidates existing stove-piped CCSQ quality reporting program features and functionalities into reusable, scalable, flexible enterprise services for quality reporting programs for healthcare providers and their supporting vendors. QualityNet’s new responsive design allows users to easily view the website on a variety of devices (desktop, tablet, and mobile) and from multiple web browsers.

The website was restructured to achieve consistency and scalability, faster page loading, simplified and more intuitive navigation, and improved accessibility. Web pages have been reorganized and consolidated to help users locate key program resources, such as specifications manuals and measure sets more quickly. Additionally, older archived materials that are no longer relevant or useful (e.g. pre-2012) have been removed to maximize the website’s relevance and responsiveness.

The redesigned public-facing pages of the QualityNet website feature the same Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) healthcare quality improvement news, program information, reporting tools, and applications that have always been present , but with a more fluid, user friendly experience and the ability to manage and navigate content more efficiently.

Users will continue to access QualityNet at the same address: https://www.qualitynet.org as was used previously. They will also continue to access the QualityNet Secure Portal (for data submission, secure file transfer, etc.) in the same manner that was done previously (from a login button on the Home page or directly from the Choose Your QualityNet Destination page). (https://cportal.qualitynet.org/QNet/pgm_select.htm). No changes are being made to the QualityNet Secure Portal at this time.

Users attempting to access pages they’ve previously bookmarked in the original site will be automatically redirected to the new URls in the new QualityNet site.

Who Will Have Access to QNP?

The QualityNet site is a public site and does not require a user login or password, so it is accessible to anyone. Users will continue to access QualityNet at the same web address as they have in the past: https://www.qualitynet.org. Also, users will continue to access the QualityNet Secure Portal (for data submission, secure file transfer, etc.) in the same fashion as they did previously: from a login button on the Home page or directly from the Choose Your QualityNet Destination page. No changes are being made to the QualityNet Secure Portal.
