Achieving Great Outcomes with Lean, Agile, and Human-Centered Design


Overview

There is a common misconception that design and development are at odds. One prioritizes understanding and the other prioritizes solutioning. Lean, agile, and human-centered design philosophies are meant to be complementary approaches to getting work done. 

Learning Objectives

During this online, two-hour training co-facilitated by the CCSQ Lean-Agile Center of Excellence (LACE) and the Human-Centered Design Center of Excellence (HCD CoE), attendees will discuss and explore how teams can thoughtfully integrate design and development needs, share responsibility, and achieve a balanced approach to delivery.

Achieve Your Certification

To earn a Certificate of Completion from CCSQ’s Human-Centered Design Center of Excellence, participants must complete the full duration of the training course and you will receive a dated and verified Electronic Certificate (PDF). Certificates are sent to your email within two weeks of completion. Time spent learning contributes to your continued education/training tracker and enhances your proficiency in Human-Centered Design. Upon completion of your certificate, showcase it on your resume and LinkedIn profile to demonstrate your expertise.

Although the CCSQ Centers of Excellence offers a broad catalog of short and long-form trainings on lean, agile, and human-centered design topics of interest, CCSQ recommends taking the following core courses so that all employees and contractor-partners gain greater alignment by putting into practice the key principles of these philosophies:
