The Human-Centered Design Center of Excellence works closely with CCSQ and ISG to guide, support, and foster the adoption and maturation of human-centered design practices. To achieve this, they empower CMS stakeholders to innovate by providing consumer-first research and design thinking strategies and solutions. The team offers training for everyone in the Center, both federal employees and contractor partners, including:
- Newbie = "I really do not understand what this 'human-centered design' thing is, but I want to learn more about it to find ways to be more successful in my role."
- Technologist = "I have supported technical projects or programs that involve developing information system solutions for end users. I work with a team that follows agile ways of planning and executing on work."
- Professional = "I am NOT a technologist, but my work at CMS can be improved by applying HCD learnings to my current work situation, which may involve policy, service design, and general support of organizational activities."
- Leadership = "I am part of the leadership team for my organizational unit or contract and want to gain insights on how to increase my organization's efficacy by applying HCD best practices to my work."
