As a result of user research and usability testing, the website has been restructured for greater consistency and scalability, faster page loading, simplified and more intuitive navigation, and improved accessibility. Web pages have been reorganized and consolidated to help users more quickly locate key program resources, such as specifications manuals and measure sets. At the same time, older archived materials that are no longer relevant or useful (e.g. pre-2012) have been removed to maximize the website’s relevance and responsiveness. The redesigned QualityNet site provides the user with a more fluid, user friendly experience and improved ability to manage and navigate content more efficiently. These enhancements have been made to ensure that QualityNet will continue to serve the user community in a secure, reliable manner. QNP 2.0 was released into production on September 25, 2019. The redesign of this site was the first major update to occur in over 10 years to meet the goals of a brand new Human Centered Design (HCD), faster performance and simplified navigation-all aimed at providing an enhanced user experience. QNP 2.0's replacement of QNP 1.0 (which used Oracle Fatwire) now uses a headless content management system in a addition to a public interface. Additionally, QualityNet’s new responsive design allows users to easily view the website on a variety of devices (desktop, tablet, and mobile) and from multiple web browsers. The redesigned public-facing pages of the QualityNet website feature the same Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) healthcare quality improvement news, program information, reporting tools, and applications that have always been present. Users will continue to access QualityNet at the same address: https://www.qualitynet.org as was used previously. They will also continue to access the QualityNet Secure Portal (for data submission, secure file transfer, etc.) in the same fashion as was done previously: from a login button on the Home page or directly from the Choose Your QualityNet Destination page. (https://cportal.qualitynet.org/QNet/pgm_select.htm). No changes are being made to the QualityNet Secure Portal at this time. Users attempting to access pages they’ve previously bookmarked in the original site will be automatically redirected to the new URls in the new QualityNet site.
