EQRS Weekly Issues Update

Work is progressing to complete the implementation of all EQRS EDSM validations and to have all EDI submissions for the months of September 2020 through December 2020 available for use on 9/1. Work is also progressing to ensure completion of the 2744 annual facility survey for delivery to congress on or before 7/1. To date, no risks have been identified that would jeopardize the timeline.

The first System Demo was held to share the 2744 and Patient Validations work of the new team’s first Program Increment (PI) to stakeholders, including EDIs and Networks. Work continues to progress for completing the implementation of all EQRS EDSM validations and to have all EDI submissions for the months of September 2020 through December 2020 available for use on 9/1. Research has been completed and the team has confirmed that the time allotted for the single user interface users in the EDSM validation implementation should suffice.  Work is continuing to progress to ensure completion of the 2744 annual facility survey on or before 7/1. To date, no risks have been identified that would jeopardize the timeline.

Testing for the EDSM implementation timeline is continuing after some Phase 2 Patient Code updates were released, with signoff on Phase 2 testing anticipated from the EDIs by 06/02/21. This will be followed by Phase 2 (Patient Codes) live in production on 06/07/21. Work is still on target for completing the implementation of all EQRS EDSM validations and to have all EDI submissions for the months of September 2020 through December 2020 available for use on 9/1. Multiple features needed in support of the Evaluation of Metrics for ESRD NW program contracts 9/14 milestone e.g. Patient - Identify & Visually Display Depressed Patients (iQIIG) and Pneumococcal Vaccination Data (iQIIG), are having their Deep Dive Analysis by the team this week so that the features are ready to be worked on in the upcoming PI.  We are still on target for the 2744 Networks Completion 6/21 milestone.

Work is on schedule for the completion of the 2744s by the Networks on 6/21. All known issues related to the 2744 have been corrected and there are no open SNow tickets.

Sign off for Phase 2 testing has been received from all EDIs.  Production deployment of Phase 2 Patient Codes will start at 8:00 PM EST on 06/03/21.The codes will be live in Production on Friday, 06/04/2021.

Multiple features needed in support of the Evaluation of Metrics for ESRD NW program contracts 9/14 milestone (e.g. Patient - Identify & Visually Display Depressed Patients (iQIIG) and Pneumococcal Vaccination Data (iQIIG)) are being analyzed by the team this week to allow development of the features in PI 15. 

Work is on schedule for the completion of the compilation and validation of the 2744s by the Networks on 6/21. All known issues related to the 2744 have been corrected and there are no open Help Desk tickets. Phase 3 Codes (Clinical & 2728) were successfully deployed on schedule to the Prod Preview environment on 06/08/21. The codes and the September 2020 through December 2020 clinical months are open for testing by the EDI Submitters. The 2744 Extract code was successfully deployed to Production on 06/15/2021 and initial data was generated to RedShift. As of 06/17/21 all required 2744’s by facilities are complete and final, ahead of schedule (6/21/21 was the original due date). EDI Submitters are testing the Phase 3 Codes (Clinical & 2728) in the Prod Preview environment, and are actively collaborating with the ADO on load testing the September 2020 through December 2020 clinical months. The EDI Submitters (LDOs and NRAA) are working closely with CMS to test how well the EQRS system can process large volumes of data, and are continuing to test the Phase 3 Codes (Clinical & 2728) in the Prod Preview environment. This final phase of testing is expected to be completed by 07/06/2021, in alignment with the timeline. Entry of clinical and 2728 data will begin on 07/12/21 as planned.

Phase 3 Codes (Clinical/2728) testing continues with no major issues reported. We are on schedule to complete the testing and obtain signoff from the EDI Submitters (LDOs and NRAA)  on 07/06/21. Submission of September – December 2020 clinical and 2728 data will begin on time (07/12/21).

Phase 3 (Clinical/2728) testing is complete. Testing results are exceptional with a 99.99% submission success rate, with an average of 1600 records processed per minute. We are in the process of finalizing all of the signoffs from all EDI Submitters (LDOs and NRAA). Submission of September – December 2020 clinical data is on schedule to begin on time 7/12/2021.

The EDIs Submitters are continuing to submit September – December 2020 clinical data with no major concerns to report. EQRS completed PI15 planning on 7/15 and has started Iteration 15.1 on 7/21.

The EDIs Submitters are continuing to submit September – December 2020 clinical data with no major concerns to report. We are on  target to meet the submission deadline of 09/01/21. The volume of EDI data submissions is decreasing as successful submissions are nearing 100% completion. For non-EDI submissions, there was a significant drop in missing records since last week, as expected.

The EDIs Submitters have completed batch submissions and are now focused on submitting manual entries.  There is still a significant number of manual entries to be submitted, and we are working closely with the EDI Submitters to ensure  we meet the submission deadline of 09/01/21.

The EDI and non-EDI Submitters continue to submit manual entries.  QMVIG has reviewed NRAA’s request for a two-week extension and will grant it pending SLT approval, which is expected on 08/24/21. The extension will apply to all submitters for the 2020 clinical data submissions.

Clinical data submissions for September – December 2020 continue from both EDI and non-EDI Submitters. The SLT approved NRAA’s request for an extension to the 2020 submission deadline; the due date is now 09/15/21. In light of this extension, the dates for the QIP Preview Period will likely be moved out by two weeks.

The EDI and non-EDI Submitters continue to submit 2020 clinical data manually.  QMVIG and the SLT approved NRAA’s request for a two-week extension; the extension applies to all submitters for the 2020 clinical data submissions. The due date for submission of September – December 2020 clinical data is now 09/15/2021 at 11:59 p.m. PT. In addition, effective September 20, 2021, all ESRD facilities should begin to immediately submit January-September 2021 EQRS Clinical Data, ICH CAHPS Attestations, and Clinical Depression Screening and Follow-Up Plan reporting in EQRS. Starting October 2021, data submission will once again open on the first day of each month (i.e., October opens October 1; November opens November 1; and December opens December 1). The clinical closure date for all months in 2021 is February 28, 2022 at 11:59 PM PT.

The EDI and non-EDI Submitters continue to submit 2020 clinical data manually, and we are on target to meet the 09/15/2021 deadline. As a result of the extension of the 2020 submission deadline, the following QIP PY2022 date has changed:

• QIP PY 2022 Preview Period has changed from 10/15/2021 - 11/15/2021 to 11/01/2021 – 12/01/2021

No further QIP date changes are anticipated.
