Lauren Anderson (she/her) is a Management Analyst in the Department of Health and Human Services' Program Engagement and Performance branch.

She previously worked at the Office of the Inspector General (OIG) and in the Survey Operations Group in CCSQ where her team redesigned the Civil Monetary Penalty program’s public presence

JONATHAN BREEMS


Senior Customer Experience Strategist

Jon Breems (he/him) is a Senior Customer Experience Strategist in the Department of Health and Human Services' Program Engagement and Performance branch.

Prior to his current role, Jon worked at the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services redesigning the state's largest safety net programs to be simpler and easier to navigate for residents. He received an MPA from the Ford School of Public Policy at the University of Michigan and a Bachelors of English from Calvin College.

GLENNETTE CLARK


Presidential Innovation Fellow
Center for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS)

Glennette Clark is a human-centered designer and DEIB advocate with over 15 years of experience. She is dedicated to creating inclusive and accessible solutions to complex challenges. 

She has significantly impacted projects like modernizing CMS’s Quality Payment Program and contributing to national maternal healthcare policy through research on the birthing experiences of women of color. Her work also helped secure $1 million for the SAMHSA-led Task Force on Trauma-Informed Care. 

As a co-founder of UXCamp DC and UXCamp NYC, Glennette has played a pivotal role in fostering a sense of community in the UX field. Her efforts have connected professionals and enthusiasts, making them feel part of a larger network. She has also served as an adjunct professor at MICA, developing a curriculum encouraging MBA students to focus on social entrepreneurship and cultural awareness. 

Glennette enjoys family time outside of work with her two children and two dogs. She is married to a retired MPD officer. Glennette holds an MBA in Strategic Design from Philadelphia University and a BA in Journalism from Howard University.

KATIE HOLMES


Deputy Director
Division of Quality Systems, Governance, Engineering, and Development (DQSGED), CCSQ, Center for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS)

Katie Holmes is the Deputy Director of the Division of Quality Systems, Governance, Engineering, and Development (DQSGED) within the Information Systems Group (ISG) at the Center for Clinical Standards and Quality (CCSQ). 

She joined CMS in 2019, starting as the Investment and Portfolio Manager for the Quality Improvement Organization (QIO) systems. Katie has also served as ISG’s Strategic Manager, overseeing the ISG Playbook. In her current role as Deputy Director, she leads efforts to deliver efficient, cost-effective, and user-centered enterprise solutions that utilize cutting-edge technologies to support CCSQ programs and enhance healthcare quality. Before her tenure at CMS, Katie worked as a federal contractor, managing a portfolio of CIO-SP3 Small Business contracts as a Program and Investment Manager.

Amani, a seasoned HCD leader with over a decade of experience in the federal sector, is passionate about inclusive experiences that prioritize usability and accessibility.

Her career spans an additional 9 years in the private sector, where she honed her skills in the payments and telecom industries, designing UX solutions that drive innovation and efficiency. 

Her work in the federal space has been marked by a commitment to improving quality of life through user-centered design. She led the modernization of the Social Security design system, transitioning it to a component-based library that underwent rigorous testing with the general public. She is driven by a mission to continuously improve the design of services that millions rely on every day.

VICTOR UDOEWA


Service Design Lead
Office of Public Health Data, Surveillance, and Technology, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)

Victor Udoewa is Service Design Lead in the Office of Public Health Data, Surveillance, and Technology at the CDC. He previously served as CTO, CXO, and Service Design Lead of NASA Small Business Innovation Research and Small Business Technology Transfer programs.

Prior, he was the Director of Strategy at 18F, a civic consultancy for and inside the government. He led the digital strategy practice and served as a designer and strategist on projects. Previously, as a Global Education Instructional Designer and Training Development Specialist at Google, he designed learning products and services for people in low-to-middle-income countries around the world.
