Human-Centered Design (HCD) is a required core competency for the future of CMS. It places the needs of our customers at the heart of decision-making, allowing us deliver meaningful solutions quickly.

The Human-Centered Design Center of Excellence (CoE) offers operational support for ISG teams in need of HCD resources, while working to advance their HCD maturity. Our team of Senior Human-Centered Design Strategists have a wide range of specialties in the fields of Design Operations, Usability Research, and Information User Experience Architecture. Design Operations

Design Operations, or “DesignOps,” refers to the orchestration and optimization of people, processes, and craft in order to amplify design's value and impact at scale.

Usability Research

Usability Research is a cornerstone to HCD and involves connecting directly with the customer to evaluate and construct an experience. Some common research methods include card sorting, usability testing, and interviews.

User Experience Architecture

User Experience Architecture leverages research to lay the groundwork for experience design. This often includes sitemaps, wireframes, and content strategy.
