EQRS Feature Updates/DiscussionAnitha

Update on the following: (Jump to recording 06:53 ~ 11:01)

  • All the 2746 related documentation is available in confluence
  • Form 2746 will be released to PP by end of this Friday
  • The changes are based on the form posted by CMS
  • QPS/Arbor may need to update the reference guide with these changes as necessary
  • The 2746 form along with 2728 will go live in Production October 1, 2024
  • There are the other existing fields that were not required for submission to SSA - need to get a timeline on the rest of EDI implementation of those non required fields.
    • Porsche will develop another spreadsheet like the one she sent out to the EDIs for the required field a few months ago
    • The EDIs will be asked to complete with estimates of when the remaining fields will be updated in their individual systems
    • Porsche will send out via email by the end of this week or early next week (Action Item Porsche)

Direction on how to report vaccines for this flu season

  • The CDC did change all of their vaccines for this season from Quadrivalent to Trivalent
  • The Program had wait for the official guidance to clear before it could be implemented in the EQRS system
  • Porsche and team will be meeting to see what work can be moved around or how they can make some capacity to have these updated vaccines implemented ASAP
  • Kathleen - If these changes cannot be introduced before the clinics start administering, what is the guidance to just hold off on reporting?
    • How to handle this in the meantime so they get credit for every vaccine administered will be discussed at the meeting the Porsche will be attending. 
    • Is there a timeline when Porsche will receive this guidance?
      • Porsche does not have a timeline but would like it out ASAP
  • How the new Trivalent vaccines should be reflected in the XML file

    • Vaccination Module: According to the data dictionary, the following options are available for Flu Vaccines-

              - FLRIX - Fluarix (IIV4)

              - FLLVL - FluLaval (IIV4)

              - FLBLK - Flublok (RIV4)

              - FLZN - Fluzone (IIV4)

              - FLZNHD - Fluzone High-Dose Quad (IIV4-HD)

              - FLAQD - Afluria Quad (IIV4)

              - FLAD - Fluad (aIIV3)

              - FLQD - Fluad Quad(aIIV4)

              - FLCLVX - Flucelvax (ccIIV4)

      This year, our company will have Fluzone® High Dose Trivalent available for our facilities. The list above specifies the High Dose (FLZNHD) as a quadrivalent vaccine, how should the High Dose Trivalent be mapped in our system for accuracy in reporting this vaccine to EQRS?

DaVita - 

  • Primary Cause List (2728 form) - There was a misalignment between the system technical documentation and the form
    • Are all of the documents aligned with accurate lists and matching each other?
    • Anitha will look into this (Action Item Anitha - Completed via email)
    • The 2023 version of the 2728 there were updates - new codes
    • Anitha will go back ASAP and make sure the form, the application and the documentation are all aligned
    • Anitha will follow up via email
  • Is there an update on the issue with that was raised by FMC with tribe and the error it was generating?
    • In prod preview the user was getting tribe related errors when they are updating patient data.
    • Per Anitha the ADO team is working on a fix and hoping to deploy by this Friday along with the 2746 changes to prod preview
    • Geraldine asked if they would include the tribes from the State or is it still going to only be ones recognized by the Federal Government?
      • No changes have been made to the tribe list
      • Per Porsche, this can be looked into as an enhancement to the 2728 after it goes live
      • This was a request about 6 months ago when we were talking about the 2728 and they were looking at including the State registered tribe that were not necessarily included in the Federal registry

FMC -

  • Kathleen - Following up on the list of rematch Asian and native Hawaiian Pacific Islander patients for the new race codes, the slides at the 8/21 in-person meeting said September 1.  Is there an updated timeline when the EDIs will be getting them? 
    • Anitha mentioned that Michael Kennedy is working on it and he's planning to deliver it this weekend
  • Leah Skrien - There was mention that on the EDI Backlog list some of the items have already been addressed.  Can the backlog list be reviewed with the group and show which items have been addressed? 
    • Per Porsche the EDI Backlog list and what items have already been addressed will be shared at a future Program Call meeting.

  • There were a lot of features picked up for PI28
  • A list of the PI28 features will be sent out to the EDIs
  • Asking for the EDIs to review the features and bring any questions/feedback to the next Program Call on 9/18

  • If any Production issues are encountered, please submit a Helpdesk ticket.  This will allow the EQRS team to better track the issue and progress.
  • CMS will refresh data in the EQRS Prod Preview environment on the first Sunday of every month. The planned schedule is below.
