Client credentials expire every 90 days - this email is to notify you that they are going to expire. This is existing process. Send to Yvette Brown. Can use a group email address for this. This is separate from prod-preview expiration notification.

Phase 2 Testing Timeline

  • 5/4 to 6/1 - EDIs perform Phase 2 (Patient Codes) testing in progress.
  • 6/2 - EDI Sign off on testing.
  • 6/7 - Production deployment.
Phase 2 Code UpdatesYvette
  • CMS will be removing the validations from codes 13559, 13560 and 13561 from Pre-Prod on Monday 5/17. Will be able to test Tuesday.
  • ADO team is working on defect for 13510 in their current iteration that ends on 5/25. Defect was that it was looking at all the admissions for the patient and throwing the area when patient had previous transplant where they did not indicate what the citizenship was. Will go to prod-preview at the end of the iteration.

EQRSEDSM-112 - Getting issue details... STATUS

  • There is no relationship between 11163 and 13489 except they both are related to dates that are after the patient's date of death.  
    • Q - Send date of death in multiple ways
    • Effective date cannot be after date of death.
    • 11163 Effective date of whole record (not same as submission date). 
    • 13489 Medicare Effective Start Date (cannot be after date of death).
    • Action - Need clarity around dates e.g. 'Effective Date' - what fields are / business rules.
    • Q - Does UI behave the same way? ADO can verify for next meeting.
Phase 2 Testing Results and BlockersScott
  • Davita 
    • Interested in resubmitting after the three codes are removed from pre-prod. 
    • Still concerned with fluctuations related to 13489 will see next week.
    • Changes coming on Davita side related to 'effective date' - End of June.
  • DCI 
    • Did another round of testing - only errors of concern 13510 and 13559, 60, 61 which are being addressed.
    • Working to eliminate Date of Death errors.
    • Will submit Tue and Friday into test.
  • FKC 
    • Met with CMS and team on testing results - good meeting; 
    • Want to retest after Monday's deployment.
    • Monday will have the 3 codes with validations turned off; 5/25 on 13510.
    • 11213, 11253 - doing investigation and will send files over to Yvette and team.
  • NRAA
    • This week launched test simulator with test cases in it; sent report to Mike K; will look out for feedback from Mike K and planning to run again on Tuesday.

Error Code 11251 - 

Attending Practitioner is required.


  • 11251, 11851 (Country/area of origin) is required. 
  • Country of Origin: Mandatory if Ethnicity indicates patient is Hispanic or Latino AND/OR if Race selected = Native Hawaiian or Pacific Islander. Not required in all other scenarios.
  • Feedback: Evaluation of 'Why' we are collecting some of the data and timing of when some of it is required.
