FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

When is the next World Usability Day?

Mark your calendars for World Usability Day on Thursday, November 11, 2021 and look for more to come on the theme and CCSQ's event.

Who is the event for?

CCSQ World Usability Day is open to the entire CMS and CCSQ HCQIS community. We have a diverse group of professionals presenting on various topics relevant to positions across the product development ecosystem and beyond. You can find the intended audience within each session description, but do not be afraid to join if you do not see your exact area of interest listed.

Do I have to attend the entire day?

We encourage you to join us for the entire time; however, the event will be an open-house style format and you are welcome to join portions of the program that align with your schedule and interests. Be sure to register and mark your calendar for the sessions that interest you the most.

How will I know if a session will be of interest to me?

We expect that all the sessions will provide insightful information about design and AI. Review the schedule to learn more about the sessions. We have labeled each session with likely areas of interest (compliance, data, design, leadership, policy, product, strategy, and technology).

The schedule identifies two plenary sessions and a panel discussion that we anticipate will have the broadest appeal to all attendees and areas of interest.

If I cannot make a session will I be able to watch it later?

We plan to record the sessions and will make the presentations available for viewing after the event.

Will I be able to participate during the event and connect with other attendees even though it is virtual?

There will be time for Q&A sessions at the end of each presentation and optional breakout rooms after most of the sessions where you can meet with the speakers. Our intermission activities will include 3 options for attendees with interactive activities in 2 breakout rooms. If you have Zoom desktop client or mobile app version 5.3.0 or higher you will be able to see when the breakout rooms have been opened and move yourself. If you need assistance moving to a breakout room, please let us know in the chat and someone will assist you.

Can I have a copy of the presentations?

Yes, after the event we will update this event site with session presentations and other resources as soon as possible. Registered attendees and non-registered attendees who complete the Non-Registered Attendee Form will receive an email when the resources are available.

What kind of prizes are you giving away?

Attendees will be entered into drawings throughout the day for 7 prizes!

  • Custom Avatar. Win one of three avatars formatted for Slack, MS Office... or pretty much anywhere. Personally characterized by a graphic designer based on your headshot.
  • Custom Zoom Virtual Background. Win one of three backgrounds designed personally for you and formatted to meet Zoom specifications.
  • Lunch n' Learn. Win a Zoom-based HCD presentation or workshop for you and your team or business group.

Learn more about the prizes and how the drawing will work.
