Innovation Thinking: Tools and Techniques to Evolve your Products and Services
...
This in-person course will explore design and innovation thinking techniques through the lens of two historical product development evolutions, and then apply innovation thinking to push those products even further.
During this two-day course, you’ll gain understanding of the Lean-Portfolio Management (LPM) approach to collaborate across silos, empower teams, and organize around value to adapt to what customers want, faster.
Attendees will discover how critical aligning strategy with execution is to any organization’s success and a key aspect of Scaled Agile Framework®. The LPM course helps executives, project management officers (PMOs) and other key stakeholders plan dynamically and be flexible enough to adjust initiatives and budgets as the market changes.
There is a common misconception that design and development are at odds. One prioritizes understanding and the other prioritizes solutioning. Lean, agile, and human-centered design philosophies are meant to be complementary approaches to getting work done.
During this two-hour course, co-facilitated by the CCSQ Lean-Agile Center of Excellence (LACE) and the Human-Centered Design Center of Excellence (HCD CoE), attendees will discuss and explore how teams can thoughtfully integrate design and development needs, share responsibility, and achieve a balanced approach to delivery.
**Professional Development Units (PDUs) and Scrum Education Units (SEUs)
Attendees may be eligible to apply for PDUs toward their continuing education requirements with the Project Management Institute (PMI) for PMP, PgMP, and PMI-ACP certifications.
Attendees may be eligible to apply for SEUs under Category C, toward earning or renewing their CSP through Scrum Alliance
