- Carol J. Smith from Carnegie Mellon University will explore trust and how UX practitioners can define and measure it in the keynote presentation, Navigating the Complexity of Trust.
- Cupid Chan with Pistevo Decision will explore trust, ethics, and integrity as he outlines complex considerations with AI and the latest in Federated Learning during a morning plenary, In What We Trust?
- Hunter Whitney with eSimplicity and Mehlika Toy, Ph.D. with Stanford University School of Medicine will present a case study about Hepatitis B, patient-centered tools, and non-compliance from the patient perspective in the afternoon plenary, Losing Patients: Trust, Compliance, and the Patient Journey.
- Morgan Taylor with the Customer-Focused Research Group will share an overview of their work across CMS and how it informs policymaking during their session, Customer Engagements with Human-Centered Design.
- Rob Fay with Tantus Technologies will moderate a panel discussion, Eroding and Rebuilding Trust: What We Can Learn from Dark Patterns and Selfish Design, to explore examples of bad design and how empathy-driven design can build trust in government products and services.
- Lesley Humphreys with Bellese Technologies and Fan Huang with Ad Hoc will present a case study, Accessible Insights: Democratizing User Research with Jira and Confluence, about creating a research repository accessible to many CCSQ programs.
- Edward F. O'Connor with ManTech International will help attendees spot ethical issues in data visualizations and review practical examples to address or mitigate harmful impacts: Your Chart is a Bigot: Ethical Data Visualization in Public Health.
- Julie Stromberg with Fearless will detail how content strategy and tools contributed to building trust within a digital experience for The Center for Medicaid and CHIP Services (CMCS) in a case study, Content Strategy: Building Trust Through Thoughtful Communication.

Earn Required Training Credits |
ISG Federal employees can use CCSQ World Usability Day as a direct contribution to spend 5% of their time, approximately 8 hours per month, on self-education. |
Management review and approval of training attendance must occur before registration. After attendance, ISG Employees can self-attest to their attendance and education hours and will record those hours on the ISG Education Connection Training Tracker. |
