She has significantly impacted projects like modernizing CMS’s Quality Payment Program and contributing to national maternal healthcare policy through research on the birthing experiences of women of color. Her work also helped secure $1 million for the SAMHSA-led Task Force on Trauma-Informed Care. 

As a co-founder of UXCamp DC and UXCamp NYC, Glennette has played a pivotal role in fostering a sense of community in the UX field. Her efforts have connected professionals and enthusiasts, making them feel part of a larger network. She has also served as an adjunct professor at MICA, developing a curriculum encouraging MBA students to focus on social entrepreneurship and cultural awareness. 

Glennette enjoys family time outside of work with her two children and two dogs. She is married to a retired MPD officer. Glennette holds an MBA in Strategic Design from Philadelphia University and a BA in Journalism from Howard University.

While conducting user research at organizations such as 18F and FEMA, many survivors have shared their personal experiences with Gail, the unexpected side effect of the safe space research often offers. She has collaborated with trauma professionals to adapt user research practices to respond with care and purpose in these vulnerable settings.  She believes we need to include a wide audience to create experiences that help people reach their goals equitably and reduce any unintentional in the process.  

Gail likes to pour detailed understanding, systems thinking, and pragmatic optimism in a bowl and stir until solutions emerge.

She is a former Health Scientist at Centers for Disease Control and Prevention who is first and foremost grounded in her cultural identity as a Ghanaian-American and embraces additional intersectional facets of being a wife and mom in her work. She is a former board member who is now a member of the Education Council at Academy Health, author of a children’s book, poet, and consultant. As a speaker and facilitator, Dr. Attipoe-Dorcoo has presented at several conferences, published several articles, chairs and serves as an advisor for a number of entities, and facilitated a number of trainings. 

The vision for her work is deeply rooted in culturally responsive and equitable indigenous tools for co-designing work with communities, which she has manifested by leading both national and international research and evaluation projects. Dr. Attipoe-Dorcoo is a member of the Advancing Culturally Responsive and Equitable Evaluation Network and has a certificate in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion from the University of South Florida. She is a polyglot, visionary, strategist,builder, designer, leader, and weaver who disrupts dominant narratives by encouraging thought leadership that centers marginalized perspectives and embraces authentic purpose-driven being.

He took an interest in healthcare after serving on the volunteer board of a Federally Qualified Health Center, eventually assuming the role of Vice Chair. There, he developed an appreciation for the ways that policy and design can intersect to create great experiences for beneficiaries who need high-quality, accessible healthcare services most. Through his small-business experience, Jesse brings a delivery-driven perspective to human-centered solutions and applies a pragmatic approach to tackling challenging problems. 

Jesse is happiest when he is holding his 6-month-old, being chased by his 4-year-old, or playing with his boxer-mix, Nellie!

Prior to joining CDC, Suzi was a Digital Services Strategist for the US Digital Service, where she was the lead researcher on a project that launched the childtaxcredit.gov website. 

Suzi came to federal service after over 20 years in industry leading user research teams at UserTesting.com, Tencent, and Google Cloud Services Big Data unit. Suzi holds a master's degree in information science, with specialization in natural language processing (NLP), computer-supported cooperative work (CSCW), and human-centered design (HCD).
