In this workshop the CCSQ LACE will assist business teams through their transition to agile. The Business Agility workshop consists of several separate sessions that will end with a business team's first iteration planning. Some of the distinct session your team will benefit from are:
- Identify your team's business process
- Setup Jira to support this business process
- Conduct a planning session
- Conduct a retrospective session

LACE Workshop: Business Agility
Purpose: To assist business teams through their transition to agile
Notes: can we leverage SIR to create better conceptual understanding and increase efficacy of workshop
Pre-Workshop Engagement
Intake questionnaire
- Identify work product(s)
- What is the expected outcome?
What is the vision for this product?
- How does the product vision relate to the project goals
- Identify consumer
- Identify external dependencies
- Identify internal dependencies/handoffs
Notes:
- The questionnaire should introduce concepts, subtly, through guidance on answering the questions
Who should fill out the questionnaire
- It could be an online survey or distributed via email
Preparation Session (30 minutes)
- Describe the workshop engagement process
- Review survey results
- Share (& schedule?) preparation curriculum
Notes: prep curriculum should be as short as possible and predefined (lightning talks?)

Introduction to business process (distinguish between a processes and work) (20 mins)
Facilitated “Make your toast” type exercise with their actual product (90 minutes)

4. Set up the Kanban (90 minutes)
- Model the workflow established with toast (10 min)
- Define operational model (Scrum and planning cadence or Kanban) (10 min)
- Define and create enough work items (work in progress and/or new work) for 1-2 weeks (stories or tasks only) Session 1 (25 min)
Break (10 m)
- Define and create enough work items (work in progress and/or new work) for 1-2 weeks (stories or tasks only) Session 2 (25 min)
- Review and agree on work placement (10 Min)
