Portal Self Service

  1. Data Object/File Permission Management
    • Setting permissions, such as Read Only to a specific file or folder.
  2. Data Archive and Retrieval
    • Archiving happens after 13 months automatically. This self-service feature will allow files to be archived prior to the 13th months.
    • This feature will allow users to restore files that have been archived.
  3. Data File Restoration
    • Will allow for files to be restored if they have been deleted inadvertently.
  4. Databricks Compute Cluster Management
    • Current cluster size max is 32 gigs.
    • This feature would allow for a request to be submitted for a larger cluster size, streamlining the request process.
  5. Access to Saved/Favorited Programming Libraries
    • Instead of having to apply libraries each time you start your notebook, a request can be submitted to save/pin the library at the cluster level.
  6. Data Sharing
    • Provide the ability to create shared schemas or workbench with other organizations and set permissions.
