What is Psychological Safety?


Psychological Safety is a shared belief held by members of a team that others on the team will not embarrass, reject, or punish them for theirideas and contributions. 


Establishing a psychologically safe environment in your teams and programs is critical to reach the highest level of team performance an output.  How does Psychological Safety impact organizational performance? What are the economic impacts Psychological Safety? How can we help create Psychological Safety in our teams and programs?


During this interactive Community of Practice, we discussed how psychological safety is intrinsically tied to performance, how to conduct conversations in a way that rewards contributions, and identify behaviors that increase or reduce the productivity of your team or program.
