Held two introduction and initial training courses for CMS program staff on ISG Performance Metrics Dashboards

These events support the rollout of the ISG Team Metrics dashboards, which allow development teams to easily identify delivery improvement opportunities. The training events provide CMS staff the basic knowledge on how to leverage these tools to drive performance.

Defined LACE Engagement intake process and added automation for requests through the LACE Confluence page to create tickets in the LACE team's Kanban funnel.

The documented intake process ensures all support requests are addressed and validated, and become part of the team's work backlog. The automation reduces time spent moving data between systems.

Completed draft of ISG Agile Playbook

The Agile Playbook is a collection of reference materials and documented practices that provide the community with how SAFe/Agile is practiced at ISG, making it easier for both CMS staff and contractors to understand roles and responsibilities, agile ceremonies, etc. This increases alignment with agile principles, fosters collaboration, and increases value delivery.

iQIES PM3 team coordinated with LACE team to provide Agile training for iQIES SMTs and PMTs. This training was focused on prioritization techniques, roadmap insights and quality standards and its importance.

Personalized, targeted training allows teams to accelerate their implementation of SAFe principles in their teams, which supports the quicker delivery of value.

Hosted LACE CoP with the Topic:

\"The Current and Future State of Objectives and Key Results (OKR’s) at

CCSQ\"

Brent Weaver, Acting Deputy Director of ISG, and Van Johnson, Deputy Division Director of DQAIMS discussed OKRs in ISG.

The CCSQ Community had an opportunity to better understand why ISG decided

to adopt OKRs.  Gained additional

insight into

 the evolution of OKRs in ISG during

LACE Agile Community of Practice. Over 65 people have attended and benefited

from CoP, 2021 ISG Playbook, and how they are creating alignment on the

long-term vision for ISG.

Helped draft 2022 Agile Playbook Objectives and Key

Results for ISG Divisions

As part of ISG Playbook 2022 Initiative by ISG, all Divisions were task with writing Objectives and Key results for each Division. LACE/ LPM Group has worked closely with DEA, DQAIMS, DHAQS, DPES, DQSAS, DUXSS, IS3 and SIS to coach on how to properly write business objectives for their divisions, in addition to providing OKR clinics to the CCSQ Community.

Led Value Stream Mapping for HQR

Session Led by LACE during (I&A) session with ADOs provide the program with an Operational and Development Value Stream Map. The VSM will allow HQR to identify the parties who develop and support the solutions within the ART as well as the flow from trigger to value which helps to optimize the Lead time and identify bottlenecks in the process.

Create LACE Maturity Assessment Tool and incorporated dimensions: Team Structure, Team Agreements, Operations, Scrum Ceremonies, Continuous Improvement, Backlog Management Practices, PI Planning, and HCD Dimension.

As part of Health Check Toolkit, LACE was tasked with creating an Agility Assessment (MVP) product. Dimensions have been created and added to the Radar Chart.  These assessments will be valuable across CCSQ programs and stakeholders as we are moving towards standardization process improvements. Each Dimension will help to assess the Health of the program in each area of focus.

Course development for short form trainings aimed for (60-120 mins) / Identified 16 potential training topics and developed 4 new courses: Prioritization Explained training, PI Planning Explained training, Work Estimation trainings, and Program Backlog Management.

Shorter training courses make training easier to fit into busy schedules and allow LACE to engage more learners and increase attendance within CCSQ members, as well as expand knowledge of Agile practices that can be applied in day to day work.

Successfully facilitated QMARS Program Increment for the ART and kicked off QMARS PI-2 with new coaching program focus.

LACE's shift in focus is in response to CMS needs. The focus is on Program adoption and Agile Practices during this PI-2. Coaching engagement plan developed with Action plans to adopt Metrics, alignment to the new coaching Product Management support and coaching teams. Release Train Engineer coverage and System Demo templates for the ART.

 Implemented Backlog Management practices and Feature Refinement.

As part of LACE's Support ISG DevOps Efforts, created working sessions for ISG DevOps Metrics and launched CoP for DevOPs.

LACE has worked with Leadership on

identifying communication of DevOps practices for CCSQ with initiative led by Quentin Tyson, CMS (CTO). These working sessions and CoP have supported OKR # 5 for 2021 ISG Playbook which is aimed at Leaning out the delivery of IT solutions through DevSecOps.

Conducted 13 Explained Courses, 7 clinics, 1 SAFe course for Leading SAFe, as well as Study Hall and coaching corner sessions to the community. 

Training offers increased agile knowledge across the community, while support clinics provide hands-on assistance with particular challenges teams are encountering and bring to the clinics.

Kicked off Agile Coaching Engagement for ISG's Contractor Onboarding Team, collaborating with HCD team to support engagement.

Direct coaching increases will increase the team's agile skills, allowing for enhanced alignment of vision and team execution, and empowering the team to bring innovative ideas that support program goals. Direct coaching is one of the key services LACE offers and working with the HCD CoE is a step toward closer integration between the two Centers of Excellence.

Held EasyAgile Training aimed to HIDS ADO with over 50 participants

This training allows ADO team members to increase their knowledge on EasyAgile, the Atlassian Add-on used to enhance collaboration in Jira. This was the result of a request to LACE to support onboarding training for a HIDS team.

LACE provides increased understanding of OKR adoption as part of Agile Playbook 2022 Roll-Out plan. Created remote space for Retrospective and Fist of Five techniques for Executives to vote for confidence level of Each Division OKR's alignment.
