  • Recently performed user interviews to hear what enhancements you want to see.
    • We want to ensure that the Portal is a valuable tool that you can add to your toolbox.
  • Beginning monthly audits to evaluate the following:
    • Identifying out of date content to remove
    • Update existing content with any new information.
    • Provide consistent formatting and easy to read knowledge-based articles.
  • New announcements will be available under the Latest News & Event section.
    • Announcements will still be sent via email.

      • Past Events page to include Data Camp and Townhall materials currently available in Confluence.

  • Feedback received from user interviews have identified areas of improvement that will be coming soon to the Portal.

Coming Soon: New Datasets in the Centralized Data Repository (CDR)

• PRS 2.0

  • Program Resource System (PRS) 1.0 will be replaced by version 2.0.
    • PRS assists Quality Improvement Organizations (QIOs) and Program Support Contractors in maintaining CMS programs. This is a repository of demographic information for hospital providers in Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), Survey and Certification System (CASPER), , Quality Improvement and Evaluation System (QIES), and Provider Enrollment, Chain and Ownership System (PECOS).
  • Timing: this data is planned to be available for use by the end of July
    • Note: PRS 1.0 will be sunset later this year and at that time PRS 2.0 will be considered the single source of data.
• HQR: Exemptions
  • The Waivers module functionality from PRS 1.0 will be re-established in HQR as the Exceptions module.
  • Timing: you will need to switch to using Exemptions in mid-August. We will communicate details and an exact date once it is established.

Accessing the CDR with R

  • Databricks R clusters are now able to query CDR and project data directly from databases.
