Meet the CMS Data ScientistsIn response to costly issues and limitations with data exposed by the Covid-19 PHE, CCSQ components have been making investments so that data will be trustworthy, timely, relevant, and enables proactive administration of center programs.  The Quality Innovation and Improvement Group took initiative in this vein via strategic planning with contractors, acquiring/deploying software, and, most drastically, by hiring data scientists (a new position) with modern training and expertise.  In this session, you will learn about how data scientists’ roles and responsibilities have been shaped based on needs of their divisional assignments and center-wide duties.
