Christopher Walker currently serves as Vice-President of Clinical Services at Sharp Memorial Hospital in San Diego, CA. Sharp Memorial is a 656 licensed bed hospital and is the largest, non-university, quaternary care campus in San Diego County. Mr. Walker oversees strategic planning, clinical practice excellence, regulatory compliance, financial performance, and daily operations for all aspects of inpatient and outpatient surgical/procedural departments and service lines, including Emergency, Trauma, and Transplantation. He has multiple divisions that have achieved top-decile performance in quality, patient and physician satisfaction, and employee engagement through continuous performance improvement, professional development, and collaborative partnerships. He helped lead Sharp Memorial Hospital to three consecutive Magnet Recognition and directly led its emergency department to be the first in San Diego to be awarded the Emergency Nurses Association Lantern Designation for Emergency Nursing Excellence.

Mr. Walker has 24 years of acute hospital, post-acute, and outpatient clinical nursing experience and over 12 years of progressive advancement in hospital leadership. He has demonstrated the ability to lead organizational change at the highest level with proven results in efficiency and quality. He received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from Saint Louis University and a Master of Science degree from San Diego State University for Advanced Practice Nursing. Since 2006, he has maintained his licensure and credentials in California as a Clinical Nurse Specialist and Nurse Practitioner.
