 Announcement

In our ongoing effort to make the EQRS Communications Hub as efficient and user-friendly as possible, we have streamlined the number of demos and Program Working Group meeting minutes stored on the Confluence page.

Of course, all critical content will be available, and older materials will be archived appropriately.

We’re confident this update will enhance your experience with the Communications Hub, and we are always open to feedback. If there’s anything you need but don’t see available, feel free to contact us and we’ll be happy to assist!

  • At this time nothing is changing in production
  • Future documentation and the design will come later
  • The change that was made in prod preview will be turned off
  • This is in regard to the ESA piece

Carryover from 11/27 meeting

  • PCV21 (CAPVAXIVE) status
    • An email was sent out to resolve this
    • Updated documentation was also made available to the EDIs
    • No need to discuss further
  • In-person EQRS Meeting
    • Nathan wanted to get everyone's thoughts on the next In-Person meeting next year
    • The Quality Conference is in March 2025, is that a consideration to have the "In-Person" meeting afterwards since people are already in town?
    • CMS will discuss internally and see when it is a good time for the CMS/EQRS team
    • Rachelle Caruthers would suggest having the "In-Person" right after the Quality Conference so that they have more team members in attendance

Data Dictionary and technical documentation Discussion (Jump to recording: 06:00 ~ 22:39)

  • Michael Kennedy took feedback from the EDIs and made some of those updates to the data dictionary
    • Made sure the wording was the same across things that were not required
    • Listed Values column - cleaned up what's actually in the list that you can submit vs the definitions and what they mean; provided some contextual information
    • Data values in the Listed Value column can be a link for the list of states, codes for countries, codes for ICDs, tribes, etc to a reference table/tab
    • Yvette pointed out the ADO team is also looking at the ability to update the data dictionary automatically; links may not be updated automatically
    • Michael is looking across all documents (data dictionary, XML's, XSD's) and comparing to make sure everything matches
    • The business requirements document is not being added to the data dictionary; it is a separate document being worked on
    • Michael is adding notes to what something means to help define the field, data needed
    • Timeline to review the documentation
      • Instead of going row by row on a Program Call, Michael suggested he makes the updates offline
      • He will then review the tabs/modules he made updates to at the next Program Call
    • Michael will go through the tabs in the data dictionary and rename as necessary to make sure the names are what people are using the name for.  For example, patient reporting tab, there is nothing in patient reporting except depression.  It will be renamed Depression.
    • The Listed Value column is used mainly for backend values.  Michael will also create a column for UI values (front end values)
    • Michael is also looking through the sentence structure to make sure they are accurate (for example, "if-then" scenarios)
    • EDIs can expect that all documentation for a specific module to be completed at the same time.  For example, if the 2728 tab on the data dictionary has been completed with updates, then the corresponding XML and XSD should also be completed
    • The Business Rules Document is still being considered and discussed.  It will be brought into the Program Call as part of the documentation review in the second half of this call
